[there are a few unusual things about this here transmission: first, Sora's sending out a few text messages. they're... not exactly his first choice for communicating; he prefers being able to see someone's face when he's talking to them. that and he's painfully slow with hunting and pecking on a keyboard. he's got a good reason for going the text route today, though.]

Is everybody okay? I know all kinds of weird stuff's happened, and I want to make sure nobody's hurt.

[-- and unusual thing number two. though Sora is not much of a typist, he does at least try to make his texts grammatically correct. oh screw it, typing with one hand is annoying.]

[shortly after mashing the "send" button, Sora tosses his 'gear in front of him on the bed and sighs. tries to sigh. Bell waddles over to to where the 'gear hit the covers and turns it over and over with her tiny arm stubs, prii'ing happily to herself. feel free to make a video call, though you may be chatting with a Togepi at first.]

[if you happen to enter the pokécenter in Goldenrod, you might hear Sora arguing feebly with a nurse and basically being the worst patient ever.]

Mm... Actually, can we just get some takeout, Rise?

Mm? I was planning on it, so yeah.

[yeah he really is a little old man, isn't he? Sora won't ever admit it, but ambling along like a zombie while keeping his upper half as still as possible is pretty tiring.]

[ she's looking out for you, O Injured One. Hence why she's stopping at the nearest restaurant. ]

[ in we go! It's a bit crowded, but Rise is shooting anyone who comes too close a LOOK. Yeah, there will be no bumping here. ]

[Sora wants to feel useful! he'll go fetch some napkins and silverware while they wait for their order-- and if anybody comments on the pajamas he's saving up a pout that will bring down the heavens.]

Wait-- Sora, are you sure--?

[ WATCHING HIM LIKE A HAWK ]

[but, but big sis, they're just napkins and forks! he's totally got this, as long as there aren't any stampeding pokémon or small children.]

[ precisely what big sis is watching for. We don't need another accident-- except she's got to look away to go get the food. ]

[awww, Rise, he can be left to his own devices for a few minutes! right? see, look, he's even carrying everything over without incident. he'll even tactfully sidestep a little kid chasing around a baby Eevee.]

[one day he's defending the World from the darkness; the next day he's defending silverware and his ribs from children... but he has about the same level of triumph for both! that's the power of the... fork?]

[ the Persona kids made an athletic festival as deadly as fighting inside a TV, that's true heroics. And Rise grins and gets to work escorting her bro back. They don't need any big scary nurses heading out to round them up. ]

[if he could be bounding along happily at the prospect of a good lunch, he would-- as it is, by the time they're back at the center and Sora's rather hesitantly climbing back into his bed, he's already dug through the bag and had a few samples. eager beaver; you bet!]

[ Rise opts to snag a chair and drag it over by the bed before she collapses in it-- gracefully, of course. She still doesn't know why she feels so tired if she supposedly slept for three days. ]

No problem! I'm just glad I got there before you tried to make a break for it.

[yeah, he looks just a wee bit sheepish at that-- it likely won't happen again; not after Hope gets a hold of him and knocks some sense into him. Sora watches her quietly for a minute, his box'o'food sitting on his lap.]

I didn't give you too much trouble, huh? You sorta look like you could use a nap.

[ god bless Hope. Rise only returns the gaze with a reassuring smile. ]

No, you were fine. I'm just feeling a little run-down-- it's probably a cold or something.
