[Sora's taking a break from traveling on Route 30 this morning to train a brand new friend he'd captured a few days ago in the Dark Cave-- the feed turns on, the camera focused up on Sora and a silly old bear, who is currently wobbling on his tiny feet and trying to mimic his trainer's pose.]

Is it on, Dapper? Good! Hey, you guys!

[he waves-- this is becoming the customary pokégear greeting for Sora. the Teddiursa at his feet waves a stubby little arm, too.]

I thought I'd show everyone out there training some warm-ups I learned from a good friend back in Traverse Town. They're called stoutness exercises, and they always helped me loosen up before a long day of fighting! Ready?

[there's an enthusiastic "Weedle!" from somewhere off-camera. oh look, Mr. Crankypants is going to try it, too.]

All you need to do is stretch your arms waaaaaay above your head, hold it there, then bend down and touch your toes, and hold it. Just stretch as high as you can, Dapper, okay? Do that ten times! Up, down, touch the ground!

[they slowly go through the motions of ten reps-- the Teddiursa is trying his darndest, but is having some issues actually touching his toes, and somersaults right onto his back on the last attempt. Sora bends down to help the little guy back on his feet, managing not to laugh.]

Good job, everyone! And now we eat.

I bet they'd have a contest to see who could evolve first.

[that was so graceful. and adorable. these Teddiursas are clearly the best Teddiursas.]

I guess we'll find out soon, as long as they keep up their stoutness exercises! So how've you been?

[He should! They're soft and cuddly... unless it punches you in the middle of the night.]

I think mine would definitely do them every day just to make sure yours gets left behind.

I'm fine so far. [Trying to make sure he and Lightning are okay because he heard things about crazy people :|] You?

[if he's lucky, he might not even notice! Sora's a pretty hard sleeper.]

You hear that, Teddiursa? We'll do them every day, too, so you don't fall behind!

[the Teddiursa waves his stubby limbs, still on his back-- at least, until Sora helps him stand upright again. to Hope's question, though, his smile fades slightly.]

Well, it's been... interesting.

[Picks up his Teddiursa before she can do more of them and fall face-first.]

Dangerous people around, huh?

[Teddiursa over here seems more interested in clinging to Sora's legs.]

Yeah. I'm... really worried.

Don't worry. If the police cant get them, then we can try.

[Heather seems like an okay person, even if they've only spoken once.] If they try to do anything to us, we're ready.

You're right. I might not have my Keyblade, but I can still punch pretty hard.

[because as it stands, Sora doesn't have much in the way of Pokémon who could stand up to a real threat. just a lazy Girafarig, a Kakuna and an extra cuddly teddy bear.]

You use a Keyblade too?

[The only person he's heard it from is Ven.]

Yeah. I haven't had it for nearly as long as Ven has, though. I just got it a few months ago.

[and very technically by accident.]

What's yours like? Ven said he could ride on his.

Not quite that cool, unfortunately! It's mostly just a sword that can unlock anything, and it releases hearts from the Heartless.

Still sounds cool though. [Especially when his weapon was a... boomerang.] We didn't have any of those in my world.

[hey, it takes a lot of skill to throw a boomerang properly, and even more so to get it to do damage.]

Well... [How to word this properly.]

It's divided into two parts-- Cocoon's a large sphere in the sky where people live inside, while Gran Pulse is below it. No one from Cocoon can go to Gran Pulse, and no one from Gran Pulse can go to Cocoon, because people on one side were scared of what was going on in the other and any time there could be an invasion from either side. Stupid reason, really.

... I don't think there's anyone living in Gran Pulse anymore.

Sounds almost like they're separate worlds... Is it nice there? You probably have a great view if you're living in Cocoon, right?

We couldn't see Gran Pulse though. All we see is a fake sky.

There's a hole, but no one could find it. [Until they happened and used it to get to Gran Pulse.]

A fake sky? How could you tell it was fake?

Because we know who's making it.

[it's an innocent question-- Sora's just never heard of someone creating a fake sky that people were living under, and it seems sort of... well, unhappy. not that one would know that a fake sky is unhappy if that's all he or she knew.]

[Hope doesn't even need to think about his answer.]

No, I wasn't.

Well... I'm glad you're here instead then, Hope. We wouldn't have met if neither of us were here.

... And we couldn't have dueling teddy bears, either.

[He cracks a smile at that, especially when his own teddy bear perks up with the nickname and starts fussing in Hope's grip.]
