[look out, Violet City Pokécenter, because not only has Sora's shift filing papers and such ended, but it's Friday-- pay day! he has amassed more pokédollars in three days than he's ever had in his entire life, and he is positively psyched about his new-found riches. pokémon and random town citizens alike scatter when he bursts through the door, his fist that's clutching the envelope pumped in the air triumphantly-- sorry if you happened to be on your way in; he might have just mowed you down in all of his victory.]

Ohhhh yeah! Who wants dinner?

[he's met with a loud chorus from his pokémon-- particularly the tiny little Togepi holding the pokégear. when Sora notices the feed's running, he bends down to look at it, grinning. hello, network!]

Hey, can I ask you guys something?

[ooc; Sora has lame victory poses. :V]

Yeah! I'm in charge of the records at the Pokécenter. It's... boring, but it pays really well.

I think it was just a cashier at a grocery store. Either that or cleaning tables at the food court in the mall. I forget which one came first.

I've heard of malls before, but we don't really have anything like them back home. There's a market and a boardwalk, though!

Eh, they're more than they're cracked up to be. I used to hang around 'em a lot back in high school though. _{[She made it sound like a really long time ago, but the truth was she'd only been graduated for a few months when she'd been sucked into Johto.]}

A market sounds pretty cool!

It is, I guess! One of my favorite memories as a kid is going to the market with my mom, 'cause if I didn't get into any trouble she'd always buy me some saltwater taffy. You can't get it anywhere else but the market.

Hah, sounds like fun! I've lived in cities my whole life, so I've never really been to any old-fashioned marketplaces like that. Sorta wish I could've, they sound pretty neat. And anywhere with saltwater taffy's gotta be good.

Really? The biggest city I've ever been to is Traverse Town, and that's a... town.

They sell a lot of fish and stuff there, too, but we usually ate whatever my dad caught. Man, I want some taffy now...

I grew up-- or, well, I spent part of my childhood in a big city called Portland. Pretty nice place overall, but I definitely never saw any marketplaces like that!

... Y'know, I bet there's plenty of candy places in Goldenrod. If I spot any taffy, I'll grab some and we can send it to ya somehow.

Well, I got old and boring eventually, but back in my youth with dinosaurs roamed the earth, I used to go to the mall a lot. Hang out, shop for clothes, go to movies sometimes... _{[... And shoplift, break curfew to attend parties, and smoke cigarettes by the pack, but she's not about to tell Sora that.]}

And hey, no prob! _{[She raised a finger.]} People gotta stick together when it comes to the important stuff. Like candy. Speakin' of which, you going anything special for Halloween?

I bet you're the reason dinosaurs are extinct, then! 'Cause you fought them and everything.

[he's on the verge of asking about the movies, but he's immediately distracted by the thought of Halloween + candy.]

Dude! Pirates are pretty much the best thing to be for Halloween, because then you can take WAY too much candy from every house. And no one can even yell at you, because you can just be like "I'm a pirate. It's what we do."
