keychained | 007; [video/action for those in Cherrygrove]

[well, this all started out innocently enough. after Dapper evolved into a Kakuna following a spectacular Caterpie smashing last week, both Sora and bug have been very eager to see how he turns out as a Beedrill-- so the past five days have been pretty constant training, stoutness exercises included! and now, after having finally gained a few quick levels, tada!! Sora is the proud new trainer of a very large and feisty Beedrill! and Dapper couldn't be happier; now he's finally able to carry out his one big, life-long wish.]

Dapper! Get back here!

[unfortunately, that life-long wish is doorbell ditching. it's the Teddiursa who's turned on the pokégear this time-- the feed displays the larger half of Cherrygrove, and a Beedrill gleefully fluttering to the closest residence, smashing the doorbell repeatedly with his stinger, then shooting up in the air to hover just above the doorway. poor Sora is not far behind, pokéball in an outstretched hand and his expression quite kicked puppy when he's suddenly left to deal with the residents answering the door.]

Hey, kid! Didn't anybody ever tell you you're supposed to hide after ringing the doorbell?

[Sora just barely manages an apology before he has to chase after Dapper again-- the Beedrill is even going into the Pokémart and center, ringing the bells at the front desks, then zooming off for his next victim. those listening to the feed can hear the Teddiursa laughing, despite himself.]

[ sadly (or luckily for him), Rise isn't noticing as she's thinking through her options. And deciding on one. ]

Okay, I think I've got one.

[ and singing this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MmkSXpoLew&feature=related). Obviously translated in whatever language this country is in, thank you, Johto. ]

[Sora listens silently for the entire song, sinking into his chair a little and relaxing at the sound of Rise's voice. he doesn't even seem to notice when a nurse stops by and bandages his arm; he's just completely chill. once she's done, he sits back up and bursts into applause.]

That was beautiful, Rise.

[ Rise flushes just a little, but flashes him an appreciative smile. ]

I don't think I've had such an attentive audience before!

It's hard not to be!

[that's when Dapper suddenly flies between the camera and Sora, buzzing happily at Rise-- seems he agrees.]

-- Whoa! [ what the bee. ]

Dapper, move!

[oh fine, Trainer, but not before he buzzes excitedly at Rise about something or other-- not that Sora realizes it, but his Beedrill is probably asking for singing lessons.]

...

I guess he liked it, too?

Looks like you've got fans in all of us, Rise!

I've got to have the advantage over the other idols if I've got you guys as fans!

[beams.]

Next time you have a concert, I'll be sure to be in the front row!

Okay! Let's give it a go, then! [ it takes Rise a minute to find the right note to start on, and she has to softly sing the intro chords to get it. Oh, THERE it is. ]

I've come to visit the cape
That you would always talk about.

[Sora is a little tentative when he starts singing, and it shows in his delivery, though he's not exactly off-key. after the first measure, his confidence starts to slowly build, and his voice is a smidge clearer.]

The promise that we'd go see it together
Is something we can no longer fulfill.

[ Rise's singing it softer than she usually would to allow Sora to join in, especially with that delivery-- but she's smiling at him when she detects a more confident change in his pitch and singing stronger on her part. ]

The bus that circles the cape drives on,
The blue sea stretches outside its windows.

[maybe one day he'll even learn how to harmonize! but Sora looks really pleased with himself, growing even more confident by the syllable-- this is different than an old nursery rhyme, but he enjoys it all the same.]

If I bury this sadness deep in my heart,
I will return to the city when this trip is over.

[ she flashes him a thumbs up, once again singing the instrumental prelude leading up to the next stanza. He definitely looks a lot happier now. ]

I circle the cape alone,
Along with the happy-looking people...

[he is! it doesn't even matter that the song's kind of depressing; having the chance to sing with Rise is like an early Christmas present.]

And I wish I could have loved you more,
With the force of these breaking waves.

[ awww Sora, this girl is going to quickly become incredibly fond of you. She's letting him start on the chorus to make sure he has the melody and then-- SURPRISE, Rise will be picking up harmony. ]

[wha-- he's leading? Sora almost falters completely, but he's determined not to mess up for anything, so he quickly catches and composes himself, lowering his voice a little as he sings because he wants to hear her harmonizing, too.]

I will return to the city when this trip is over.

[ Good catch there; that save will get him a thumbs up, and it looks like he's staying on the right pitch, so it's not hard at all to find a harmonious counterpoint to bring it home. ]

[when they both fall silent, Sora turns a bit red and grins-- he never really thought he had it in him, and he's actually pretty pleased with himself.]
