[well, this all started out innocently enough. after Dapper evolved into a Kakuna following a spectacular Caterpie smashing last week, both Sora and bug have been very eager to see how he turns out as a Beedrill-- so the past five days have been pretty constant training, stoutness exercises included! and now, after having finally gained a few quick levels, tada!! Sora is the proud new trainer of a very large and feisty Beedrill! and Dapper couldn't be happier; now he's finally able to carry out his one big, life-long wish.]

Dapper! Get back here!

[unfortunately, that life-long wish is doorbell ditching. it's the Teddiursa who's turned on the pokégear this time-- the feed displays the larger half of Cherrygrove, and a Beedrill gleefully fluttering to the closest residence, smashing the doorbell repeatedly with his stinger, then shooting up in the air to hover just above the doorway. poor Sora is not far behind, pokéball in an outstretched hand and his expression quite kicked puppy when he's suddenly left to deal with the residents answering the door.]

Hey, kid! Didn't anybody ever tell you you're supposed to hide after ringing the doorbell?

[Sora just barely manages an apology before he has to chase after Dapper again-- the Beedrill is even going into the Pokémart and center, ringing the bells at the front desks, then zooming off for his next victim. those listening to the feed can hear the Teddiursa laughing, despite himself.]

[... oops. Sora smiles apologetically.]

Well, maybe you'll meet up with me someday when you go home! Or maybe you're like Donald, I dunno.

[Sora pauses here. does the "no meddling" rule even apply here? Sora's been under strict orders not to tell world residents that other worlds are out there, to maintain the boundaries between the worlds... ignorance is bliss, right? at the same time, there's such a wide variety of people jammed in Johto, the idea of there being only one world out there is kind of shot completely.]

I'm... I guess you could say I'm from a different tree. My job is to take out Heartless wherever they might show up. Ah-- Heartless are the darkness in peoples' hearts. They seek out and steal hearts from other people.

_{[The skeleton listens carefully as Sora explains things in Jack-safe terms. These monsters didn't sound like anything he wanted to run into. He quite liked his heart now that he had one. It did the whole circulation thing. Circulation was great!]}

They don't sound like any of my monsters...you're good for keeping them out of where they don't belong.

[Sora smiles a little sheepishly at that.]

It was just fate, I guess! But, I think you'd know Heartless when you see them, Jack. And if you see Heartless, then you can bet that I won't be far behind to take care of them.

_{[The skeleton's grin slowly returns. The fact that Sora is dancing around his questions soars over his head. The scare from earlier rattled and distracted him.]}

I'll keep an eye out for you then! I've never known a hero before.

["Junior hero," Sora almost corrects before he catches himself. he's been pretty busy since Phil gave him that title, right? he should totally be full-fledged hero status by now! but Sora grins, looking a little embarrassed, actually.]

I'd say you're the hero of Halloween, Jack.

_{[Jack's not totally sure what to make of Sora. He's a good kid it looks like, but he knows an awful lot about him too.]}

Huh, I don't think I'd call me a hero...and speaking of, I'd go catch that giant bee!

Well, you are the Pumpkin King-- ah!

[good thought, Jack! Sora climbs to his feet and scrambles after Dapper the Delinquent-- enjoy the comical scene; Sora's going to be chasing him in and out of the camera's view like a Scooby Doo chase sequence.]
