[It's been a long day of traveling and training- well, okay, traveling and watching Puddles graze instead of battling- but today was not an entire waste! Now that things have settled down a little, Sora can focus on a new task he's assigned himself: he's managed to scrounge up a pen and a few small scraps of paper, though he'll write all over his map if he needs to. When the video flips on, that's exactly what he's doing, hunched over with his tongue poking out in concentration as he scribbles.]

[After a moment, he looks up, like he'd forgotten he'd turned on his pokégear. That's not the case, though:]

It's just whatever you want to tell me! I'm keeping up a journal for my friend so he'll have a chronicle of everything that's happened here.

_{[... Well then. Heather's not about to tell the kid about Silent Hill. A) She likes to maintain a general reputation of sanity, and B) she doesn't want to give the poor guy nightmares.]}

Well, uh...

I grew up in a state called Maine... which was uh, part of this big country made of a bunch of states called the United States of America-- er. Does that exist where you come from?

_{[Because seriously there were so many people from EVERYWHERE so she didn't even know anymore, man.]}

[Sora shakes his head slightly as he scribbles frantically to keep up.]

Never heard of it! Is it nice there?

_{[Some places had nice, normal, happy things, and others... had monsters and fog and religious cultists. Y'know. It happened.]}

I grew up in the city. It was... okay I guess.

[Sora could empathize to an extent, though Heartless probably don't even compare.]

What about Maine? Was that nice?

_{[Yeah, Heather would have been much happier if the monsters were more along the lines of the Heartless. There's pretty much nothing that could top being chased down underground traintracks by a surprisingly-fast morbidly obese guy with a tumor for a face. Who was also naked.]}

_{[She repeated herself with a bit of a laugh.]}

I mean, parts of it are pretty okay.

But if you get out into the boonies too far, it can be... pretty dangerous, actually.

_{[Silent Hill was basically the worst tourist location ever and whoever had come up with the bright idea for it to be a resort was a moron.]}

[... yeah okay, Fat Bandits have got absolutely nothing on that.]

[Sora's trying to write this down while giving Heather a curious look at the same time.]

Okay, I'll just put down that Heather lives on a world with a bunch of weirdos.

_{[Pretty much! In fact, it'd probably be safe to say that the Insane Cancer is more or less the Boomer's disturbed older cousin with a drinking problem and a penchant for nudity.]}

_{[At that remark, Heather actually bursts into genuine, honest-to-goodness laughter.]}

[that is ten flavors of awesome- and Sora can't help but laugh as well, though he probably wouldn't be laughing if that particular naked freak of nature was coming after him.]

Okay, then! So how long have you been here?

_{[Yeah, it was pretty hard to be laughing when you were running for your life from something with a serious case of cottage cheese ass.]}

About three months by now... feels like longer.

That is kind of a long while.. Do you miss your home and the weirdos sometimes?

_{[The weird thing was... she didn't miss home that much. ... Which made it a little... reversely hypocritical that she should be so pissed about having been brought here in the first place. SENSE. IT MAKES LITTLE.]}

... But if you see a kinda burly old guy with a trenchcoat, a fedora, and a scraggly beard, say hey to him for me.

[Sora seems to think he's some sort of forensic sketch artist, his gaze back down to his paper as he, well.. after a minute he holds his drawing (http://i33.tinypic.com/28rcidh.png) up to the camera.]

[oh man, Heather can probably see his pride visibly inflating. it doesn't take much.]

You really think so? Maybe I should do drawings for all of Jiminy's journal!

Hey, go for it! You were really able to capture his uh... likeness!

[call him cute and he will flail. FLAIL. look at him grin, though.]

So, who is this guy? Other than a weirdo.

His name's Douglas. He's a friend of mine from back home. _{[Pretty much the only friend she had back there.]}

He can be a bit creepy at first but he's not a bad dude.

Douglas! Okay..

[writes that down next to his drawing, with an arrow pointing right at the fedora.]

I'll definitely keep an eye out for him, Heather. How long have you known each other?
