[It's been a long day of traveling and training- well, okay, traveling and watching Puddles graze instead of battling- but today was not an entire waste! Now that things have settled down a little, Sora can focus on a new task he's assigned himself: he's managed to scrounge up a pen and a few small scraps of paper, though he'll write all over his map if he needs to. When the video flips on, that's exactly what he's doing, hunched over with his tongue poking out in concentration as he scribbles.]

[After a moment, he looks up, like he'd forgotten he'd turned on his pokégear. That's not the case, though:]

Hey! Can you guys help me with something?

Yeah, he's my giraffe.

[and Sora turns the pokégear away from himself momentarily- he caught the nearby Girafarig right in the middle of a huge yawn in between grazing sessions.]

See? He's so lazy.

-- But he's so cute! I didn't know they had giraffes!

[-- did someone just call Puddles cute? that caught the Girafarig's attention; he trots right on over and presses his face against the pokégear, hamming it up- enjoy the black screen and the sounds of snuffling and snorting, Kay.]

Hey! Puddles!

Whoa--! H-hi?

[the feed waves wildly for a minute as Sora tries to get the pokégear away from Puddles- after a while, the pokémon gives up and wanders back off to graze, but not before bleating a farewell to Kay- note to self, Sora, Puddles really really likes compliments.]

Sorry about that.

I don't mind! He's a friendly giraffe, isn't he?

Yeah, he is! I'm kinda glad; I don't even know what you're supposed to do with an angry giraffe.

Feed it?

That would work. As long as he doesn't get too chubby and try to sit on me, or something.

He'd better not! I only just met you again!

Maybe I better put him on a diet just to be sure!

I don't think you can get much more diet than grass.

[... cracks up laughing.]

I guess so! Though I kinda wonder if he's a lawnmower instead of a Pokémon.

It's too bad you don't have a lawn, huh?

[ ... sadly, that gets Kay laughing too. ]

I'll start a lawnmowing service! Puddles' Perfect Landscaping.

[aaand, Sora's cracked himself up, hang on a second.]

Ahahaha! If you don't like the way your lawn looks, you don't need a lawn at all!

[that sends him over the edge; Sora doubles over laughing so hard he can barely hold on to the pokégear. even though the feed's now shaking, Puddles can be seen in the background, his mouth full of grass and looking just a little bit miffed. not that Puddles has any room to argue, though.]

That.. that was a good one... Hey, Puddles! You wanna open up a lawn mowing service?

[to that, Puddles trots over and starts chewing on Sora's hair, though it's more out of retaliation than it is his hair looks appetizing.]

-- Hey, knock it off! My hair doesn't need landscaping!

It looks like he's getting his practice in.

[... grins, even though there's a Girafarig chewing on his hair out of spite.]

We're gonna be rich.

Maybe bald, too.

I'll buy new hair!

[he waves Puddles away, though, who promptly trots off to pout. he'll get over it.]

You might look good as a blonde!

... You really think so?

I wonder what Kairi would think.
