[It's been a long day of traveling and training- well, okay, traveling and watching Puddles graze instead of battling- but today was not an entire waste! Now that things have settled down a little, Sora can focus on a new task he's assigned himself: he's managed to scrounge up a pen and a few small scraps of paper, though he'll write all over his map if he needs to. When the video flips on, that's exactly what he's doing, hunched over with his tongue poking out in concentration as he scribbles.]

[After a moment, he looks up, like he'd forgotten he'd turned on his pokégear. That's not the case, though:]

Hey! Can you guys help me with something?

I'm trying to keep up a journal for a friend! So I'm writing down a little bit about everybody I meet here.

What's your name? I'm Sora.

Nice to meetcha, Sora! I'm Kaito Kuroba.

Good to meet you, too!

[there's a brief pause as Sora scrambles to find a space to start writing: Kaito.]

Have you been here long? Where are you from?

[a bit amused he's being interviewed, but he'll go along with it]

Ekoda, Tokyo, Japan. It's where I lived before I came here. I think I've been in Johto for about... [a pause] Two months.

[Sora the journalist busily scribbles that down, biting his lip in thought.]

Tokyo, huh? I've never heard of it.. What's it like there?

Crowded. [a bit dry, before he brightens once again] A little boring, but not bad. You know what skyscrapers are, right?

I've read about them, but I've never seen one in person! Are they as awesome as they look? You don't worry about it falling over if you're at the very top of one?

There's nothing to worry about if they're built correctly.

[Sora's doodling a crude representation of skyscrapers next to Kaito's name on the back of his map.]

That's so cool.. I've always wanted to stand at the very top of a skyscraper.

[Kaito almost responds with a 'I have,' but he recognizes that might get him some questions he isn't quite ready to answer yet, so he refrains]

It does sound like fun, doesn't it?

Yeah! I mean.. I've been on the roof of my house, but that's really about it.

... Can you imagine falling off of a skyscraper, though? Geez.

[Kaito's grin widens. He can imagine what it's like to fall off a skyscraper, if only because he's done it before. The way his heart plummets at the sudden change of altitude, the wind rushing through his hair, his cape fluttering madly behind him, the adrenaline pumping through his veins, the danger high, the knowledge that if he didn't activate his hang glider at just the right moment he could die-- and then the jolt of his wings taking hold of the air and lift him through the sky, allowing him to glide past the skylines like a bird--]

Nope, I can't imagine what'd it'd be like falling. Sounds like it'd be fun to try, though.

[Sora's grin is widening as a result, although he's not entirely sure why. his vision of falling off of a skyscraper is pretty morbid.]

It'd be fun until you landed, at least.

Unless you had something to prevent the morbid landing.

Like a giant trampoline!

Or a parachute.

Or maybe even faith, trust and pixie dust.
