[When the video feed first clicks on, there isn't much in the way of visuals except blackness, interspersed with the occasional flash of dull light. The sounds are much more fascinating than the sights, as it were: something is snuffling at the pokégear, and after a moment there's a series of sharp thunks, as if someone were rapping against the microphone. Something is trying to eat it.]

-- Hey! Knock it off! Look, there's food in the bag if you're hungry..

[The feed swings around wildly as Sora snatches away and tries to wipe the pokégear off on his jumpsuit, then stops abruptly as he turns it over in his hand and stares straight into the camera, his expression bewildered. This thing looks more high-tech than the lifts in Hollow Bastion.]

Okay, I'm.. not really sure what I was expecting, but the everlasting Darkness is weird.

Peeking a bit more obviously around the corner is a very small Phanpy, its trunk raised in curiosity.]

Of course I am! Are you all right? The last time I saw you, you weren't.. I mean, there was this guy named Ansem.

Sora catches a glimpse of her out of the corner of his eye, feeling a pang in his chest- he's still assuming he's lost somewhere in the realm of Darkness, and it shouldn't surprise him to find others lost as well. how many worlds were destroyed before his own, after all? it still hurts to see it, though.]

[Her eyes widen slightly at being noticed, and she seems unsure of what to do for a second. Then, without taking her eyes off of the stranger, she kneels for a second to whisper something to Fanny. The Phanpy makes a little 'Phan'-trumpety noise, then gallops (on its tiny legs) over to where the stranger's at, sniffing his legs and possibly hands if they're in reach with his trunk.]

[Sora breaks his gaze from the girl to this.. blue pile of adorable- not that he'd admit how completely cowed he is by it- he wants to show both girl and Pokémon that he's harmless, so he crouches down and offers both his hands for Fanny to sniff at, a wide grin on his face.]
