keychained | 007; [video/action for those in Cherrygrove]

[well, this all started out innocently enough. after Dapper evolved into a Kakuna following a spectacular Caterpie smashing last week, both Sora and bug have been very eager to see how he turns out as a Beedrill-- so the past five days have been pretty constant training, stoutness exercises included! and now, after having finally gained a few quick levels, tada!! Sora is the proud new trainer of a very large and feisty Beedrill! and Dapper couldn't be happier; now he's finally able to carry out his one big, life-long wish.]

Dapper! Get back here!

[unfortunately, that life-long wish is doorbell ditching. it's the Teddiursa who's turned on the pokégear this time-- the feed displays the larger half of Cherrygrove, and a Beedrill gleefully fluttering to the closest residence, smashing the doorbell repeatedly with his stinger, then shooting up in the air to hover just above the doorway. poor Sora is not far behind, pokéball in an outstretched hand and his expression quite kicked puppy when he's suddenly left to deal with the residents answering the door.]

Hey, kid! Didn't anybody ever tell you you're supposed to hide after ringing the doorbell?

[Sora just barely manages an apology before he has to chase after Dapper again-- the Beedrill is even going into the Pokémart and center, ringing the bells at the front desks, then zooming off for his next victim. those listening to the feed can hear the Teddiursa laughing, despite himself.]

[ please forgive her. Kay is laughing her head off. ]

[Sora's currently trying to save the Pokémart from Dapper's antics and will be back in a few minutes, but Teddiursa is more than willing to strike up a conversation in the meantime! he flaps his little arms at the camera, talking and making laughing noises. in Teddy-speak, this means that he never expected to wind up in such a goofy party.]

They're like a comedy act, huh? They should set up performances for money!

[ somehow she understands this. ]

Ursa!

[Teddiursa will hold the money jar for them! Sora walks back not too long afterward, a very smug-looking Dapper hovering behind him.]

Sheesh, Dapper, you didn't have to break the mart's bell... You're just lucky the store owner isn't making us buy a new one. -- Hey, Teddiursa, what are you doing?

Chatting with an awesome person.

Kay!

[he wrassles the Teddiursa into his arms, beaming happily at the pokégear.]

Did you see that? Dapper didn't even bother waiting for us to go doorbell ditching.

Hey, Sora!

[ there's an Eevee flopped on her shoulder as she beams back. ]

I saw! He really wanted to get going, it looks like!

Yeah, no kidding! 20 minutes in and he's already broken something.

[Dapper perches on Sora's shoulder awkwardly and buzzes at Kay in greeting-- it's his favorite human! he even waves a stinger.]

He's definitely on the ball-- hey, Dapper! [ waving enthusiastically like it's... not a giant deadly bee. ] Congratulations! Save a doorbell for me some time, okay?

[Dapper buzzes an affirmative, and even tries to salute, just barely avoiding clocking Teddiursa in the forehead with his stinger. clearly he needs a little time to get used to his new-found size and strength. Sora sighs, but he's grinning.]

You are a force to be reckoned with, Dapper.

You are too, Sora. You helped get him to this stage.

[... Sora turns a little red at that, and rubs the back of his head, grinning so wide it almost looks like it hurts.]

Well, I-- Thanks, Kay.

No problem! I'm just being honest.

[he's still grinning, and Dapper's still buzzing at Kay enthusiastically, trying to express how funny it was to doorbell ditch.]

I think Dapper's really taken a liking to you!

[ she's still grinning up a storm herself. ]

I've never had a Beedrill friend before, but there's a first time for everything. Who knows, we might beecome the beestest buddies!

[ ... she couldn't pass it up. ]

[ah, the pun master's right in her element-- Sora's going to need a minute to catch his breath through all that laughter.]

I see he's already beedrilled the idea of friendship into your head!

You could say he weedled his way into my heart!

[ What a duo. ]

As long as he doesn't sting you! I hear the aftermath leaves you feeling pretty a-gastly.

I'd rather deal with that than have him do a door-bellsprout ditch. They'll Vine Whip you into shape in no time flat!

I would say that both of those sound a lot better than poison ivysaur.

[ ... yeah, this laughing too hard business is becoming a regular occurrence with this guy. ]

[after a few minutes of laughing as well, Sora bows deeply to the pokégear, just barely containing a straight face.]
